Laguna Beach and Arizona

We spent a whole week in sunny Laguna Beach, far away from snowy Utah.
From our balcony we had this incredible view of the ocean:

The flower fields in Carlsbad, CA were in full bloom....acres of color!

Next we drove to Arizona where we spent the weekend with Kami, Erik and Bryson.

We had a great time visiting Jon, Shaunae and the kids in Manassas. The weather was extremely cold so we didn't do much outside other than drive to Washington D.C. to take pictures of the capitol with all the flags being put up for the inauguration on the 20th. We also took drive-by pictures of the White House and some of the monuments. I'm glad we've been to the capitol often enough that we didn't feel the need to stop and see it all again!

Corynn had eye surgery on Thurs. and was in the hospital most of the day. Everything went well and she came home with a goodie bag full of treats from the nurses because she was such a good patient. Good job, Corynn!
We spent a fun morning at Chucky Cheese's playing all the video games and taking pictures of Ashton, Corynn & Taison who had the whole place to themselves because we got there right when it opened.
We helped paint the upstairs bathroom a pretty shade of green and put up new accessories giving it a brand new look. Fun!

Sunday was blessing day for cute little Tyler. He listened to all the words his dad said with great interest. At least it seemed like he did!

Great trip.....five days wasn't long enough, however.

Ellsworth Family Reunion 2008!

We had a great Ellsworth family reunion last weekend in Park City, UT! It was the first time in 8 years our whole family was together (well-- almost! Taylor and Josh were at soccer camp in Ohio) But that's right.... we had Mom and Dad, Julie and Roger plus 4 kids, Jeff and Jean plus 5 kids, Kathy and Dave plus 5 kids, Craig and Jeanna plus 3 kids, Rob and Jenn plus 2 kids, Jon and Shaunae plus 3 kids (well.... 3 and 1/2) and Erik and Kami plus their 1. We had a PARTY! Rob and Jenn brought their boat from CA and we had a great weekend out on the lake!We also celebrated Dad's 70th Birthday!!! Happy Birthday dad! We made a scrapbook full of pictures of his life and each of us kids made our own pages with pictures and our own memories we had with dad. We stayed up sat night having cake and ice cream and hearing all about dad's childhood and his experiences growing up. It was a great night! Thank you Mom and Dad for putting together such a great family reunion! We had a BLAST!

Thursday morning we met up at Alta and had a great hike up to the lake! It was beautiful!

Thanksgiving Point -Reunion 2008-

We spent 2 mornings playing at Thanksgiving Point. We walked through the gardens, played in the water, jumped on the huge tramp, saw the dinosaur museum, dug up bones in the sand, fed the farm animals, rode horses and even met Elder Uchtdorf!

Kathy had to bring 6 people with 6 different zip codes and we would each get $5 for the outlets!
Sounds easy right??? We were coming from all different directions... mom dropped dinner.... and we raced over! We made it there just as they were closing... but we got our $5! We are true Ellsworths!

We LOVED seeing Jean and the kids on Saturday afternoon! We made pizza's for lunch and then Megan hitched a ride with Jean to St. George. Megan will be at a debate conference this week and EFY in Cedar City next week.

Kami and Erik

Erik and I have been married for 4 years! We moved into our first house in Dec 07 and love it! Erik enjoys working for University of Phoenix and I nanny for a family in Scottsdale. Bryson is growing so fast! He has such a funny personality! He Loves hats, balls and playing chase. It isn't very hard to get him to smile for the camera! He's quite the ham of the family!

Heber Highlights

Dave is in survival mode with work and church. We're sure their are better days ahead. Kathy is in chauffeur mode...it starts! One year and 5 months until Adam can drive, hurray! Adam is in girl-la-la mode with his first girlfriend...it starts! He also plays baseball 4x/wk, basketball 4x/wk, and football once. Aaron is in theater mode. He performed last week end for one production, and opens another June 27 that he has a good part in. He's found his niche. So that you can recognize him at the reunion, he's the one with glasses and now--no braces! Allison is in friend mode. She spends every waking hour with her two best friends that live next door. A.J. is in high-speed mode. He is going all the time. Play is serious work! Aiden is in potty-training mode. Progress is being made. Yeah, for progress! We loved our mini-reunion in Arizona the end of May with Mom & Dad, and Kami and Rob's families. Great fun. We can't wait for the reunion coming up. We miss you guys.
